- Creating an economic network of three sea regions
In June 2021, the Marijampolė Regional Development Council, together with representatives of Lithuania, Poland, Bulgaria, Romania, Slovakia and Hungary, signed the Lublin Declaration.
The goal of the Lublin Declaration is to create an economic network of the Three Seas regions. The signatories of the Lublin Declaration expressed their desire to work towards creating a stable partnership between the regions located between the Baltic, Adriatic and Black Seas. The aim of this agreement is cooperation for development and mutual benefit and increasing the competitiveness of regions on a European scale.
